Through the ministries of the Christian Discipleship Council (CDC), Metropolitan Baptist Church provides a range of educational opportunities for individuals as they journey toward Christian maturity.
The CDC operates through development, implementation and application of Bible Study classes, seminars, institutes, and workshops that focus on the Word of God as our foundation for Christian living. It is through the Word of God that our faith is confirmed and we are able to pursue the full and complete life in Christ.
The ministries of the CDC are the Academy for Biblical Studies, the Christian Discipleship Institute, the Charles S. Whitted New Disciples Ministry and Metropolitan Sunday School.
The CDC believes that wherever Christians are in their faith journey, there should be a course that will challenge them to assess their spiritual growth and identify areas of learning and development. To afford all members the time and opportunity to extensively explore the Bible and strengthen their faith, the CDC sponsors daily, year-round Bible Study Classes.
