A Call to Prayer & Support for Haiti

Dear Metropolitan,

Wounded Haitian Child with Red Cross In this season of prayer for our own church's growth and healing, I call you today to a season of prayer for our brothers and sisters in Haiti. The crisis in this country has reached proportions beyond our imagination. A nation already wrought with poverty, famine and pain was devastated by the recent earthquake.

I urge you to fast and pray for a unified world response to relieve the suffering of the people of Haiti. I call you to a season of support as we increase and redirect our own outreach ministry to respond to this need. Let us pray, together, that God will permit and guide the rebuilding of a better, stronger Haiti that is responsive and responsible to its people.

Through our Hope for Haiti campaign, we are collecting a special offering that will be directed to the provision of food, medical supplies and other resources so desperately needed. I know you will respond with loving generosity. I believe God will bless our gifts to bless the people of Haiti.

For your convenience, you may give to Metropolitan's Haiti Relief Fund online. Metropolitan Baptist Church and Eglise Baptiste du Calvaire have established an education initiative to help provide resources for four church run schools in Haiti.
